Our office has been described as a "homey" yet professional atmosphere. A calm and peaceful place with soft lighting, pleasant colors and gentle music. It is our desire to provide our clients with an environment that invokes a feeling of comfort and serenity.

We first began our massage therapy practice in 1997 in a small shopping village in West Meade. In January 2005, Lisa Smith moved Basic Kneads into a small house that she renovated specifically for the business. It includes a reception room, three comfortable private therapy rooms, one skin care room and a hydrotherapy bath room. Many of the lights and artwork decorating the office are by Nashville's own "Twisted Sisters" Linda Levy & Debbie Graham.
